The tower of Gallardon is all that is left from a 12th century keep. The 38m high tower used to hold 4 storeys. The church was built during 2 distinct phases. The facade dates back from the 11th century (romanesque). Part of the wall that supports the steeple also dates back from the 11th century. The back of the church is Gothic (ca 1200). Inside the church, the front part is romanesque, however, the painted roof was built during the 15th century and painted during the 18th century. Painted roof. Tombstone in the wall of the church. The gothic back of the church. The transition from the romanesque (back of the picture) and the gothic (front of the picture) parts is clearly visible. FontgombaultGermigny-des-Prés Labels
